Description: A yellowish substance coming in powder or pellet form, Sodium Ethyl Xanthate has a pungent odour and is soluble in water. It can form insoluble compounds with metallic ions such as: cobalt, copper and nickel.

Principal uses:

As a collector, the selectivity of Sodium Ethyl Xanthate is the strongest in our xanthate line. It is widely used in the preferential floatation of fines or for complex sulfide minerals.

Sodium Ethyl Xanthate can also be used in the floatation of copper and lead oxide ores in conjunction with vulcanizing agents. It is also used as a precipitant in hydrometallurgical processes and as a vulcanisation (hardening process) accelerator in the rubber industry.
