Description: A yellowish substance coming in powder or pellet form, Sodium Isopropyl Xanthate is soluble in water and has a pungent odor.

Principal uses: The collecting power of sodium isopropyl xanthate is stronger than that of Sodium Ethyl Xanthate. It is mainly used in the floatation of nonferrous metallic sulfide minerals. 

It is also used as precipitant in hydrometallurgical processes and as a vulcanization (hardening process) accelerator in the rubber industry.
